How fast will my car charge?
A typical 7 kW home charger adds roughly 40 km of range an hour, so most cars are full overnight. Three-phase homes can go faster with a 22 kW unit if your car supports it.
Can I just use a normal power point?
You can trickle-charge from a power point, but it's slow and the circuit isn't designed for hours of high load. A dedicated wall charger is faster and far safer for daily use.
Will my switchboard need an upgrade?
Sometimes. Older boards may need a little work to add a dedicated EV circuit safely. We check before we quote and include any upgrade in the fixed price.
Can it charge from my solar?
Yes. With a compatible charger and the right setup, your car can prioritise charging from your panels, so you drive on sunshine instead of grid power.
